Our gin is amazingly flavorful with its unique composition of hibiscus, citrus, cinnamon, and ginger! You’ll almost certainly love it whether you are a seasoned gin drinker or, frankly, not a gin person.

To help, SLOWDAYS Gin:
... always works with lemon, soda water, tea, or honey
... has favorite fruits: strawberry, raspberry, cherry, plum, apple, and persimmon
... loves bright aperitivos, fruit-forward amaros, and bianco vermouths
... is amazing with allspice, nutmeg, and sage for warmth and depth

Featured Seasonal: STRAWBERRY AMARO SMASH

2oz SLOWDAYS Gin
.5oz Amaro or Aperitivo (we used Cappelletti)
.5oz Homemade Strawberry Syrup
.5oz Fresh Lemon Juice

Add all the ingredients to a shaker with ice and shake well. Double strain cocktail over a big cube and garnish with a halved fresh strawberry.

Homemade Strawberry Syrup
Start with local or organic strawberries (we use berries from The Ecology Center)! Add equal weight strawberries and raw cane sugar to a pot and cook on a very low temperature -- just below boiling point. You want to cook the water, sugars, and flavor out of the strawberries, but not boil off too much water. If some liquid has cooked off or if the sugar does not easily dissolve, simply add a small amount of water until you have a syrup texture. Strain after about 1 hour.

The Favorite Classic: TOM COLLINS

2oz SLOWDAYS Gin
.75oz Lemon Juice
.75oz Simple Syrup
Soda Water

Shake all but the soda water in a cocktail shaker with ice. Strain over ice in a highball glass and top with Soda Water. Garnish with something pretty!

All this work can be fun, but SLOWDAYS gin with a splash of lemonade and soda water is incredible for a lazy day; so most of the days we make a drink...

Our Summer Crush: BERRY BEE’S KNEES

2oz SLOWDAYS Gin
.75oz Lemon Juice
.5oz Raw Honey
2 or 3 Berries (Blue, Black, or Ras)

Add the gin, lemon, and raw honey to an empty shaker. Whisk well until the honey is dissolved. Alternatively, you can make a syrup of equal volume honey and water over a light heat and use 1oz. Add the berries and quickly smash. Fill the shaker with ice, shake, and double strain into a Nick and Nora or Martini glass. Garnish with a skewered honeycomb or more berries.

Old School: 50/50 MARTINI

1.5oz SLOWDAYS Gin
1.5oz Bianco Vermouth
2 Dashes of Orange Bitters

Stir over ice in a mixing glass, and strain into a (preferably chilled) martini glass. Garnish is optional, but a lemon twist is a beautiful addition. Class, however, is a must to match this cocktail’s sex appeal.

Of Course: A GIN + TONIC

2oz SLOWDAYS Gin
Approximately 3oz of Tonic Water
1oz of Fresh Squeezed Grapefruit or other juice

The Gin + Tonic is popular -- to say the least. We love ours served strong and with fresh juice to highlight the fruit-forward nature of our gin. Grapefruit is our go to in season, but we have tried and loved homemade pressed grape juice, passionfruit, and even apple juice (of course from Lovely Bunches). Garnish with mint, a grapefruit slice, or a bite of whatever fruit looks good to you.

Equal Parts: RUBY NEGRONI

1oz SLOWDAYS Gin
1oz Bitter Aperitif (Saler’s or an Americano Vermouth)
1oz Bianco Vermouth

Stir over ice in a mixing glass, and strain over a big cube in a rocks glass. Garnish with a slice of orange.

While negronis are an ever present favorite for gin drinkers, we find a white or blanc negroni works better in the sunshine and with SLOWDAYS. Of course this version takes on our hibiscus-imbued hue when made with our gin.
